Adiyen studied the various e-mails sent by the Srivaishnavas regarding the enforcement of “dress-code”
Adiyen submits the following ( after some hesitation) :–
Loukikas are expected to have self-discipline in this aspect. They attended upanyasams. They got “panchasamskaram” Even most of the Srivaishnavas would have done “baranyasam”. What they derived from these?
Is it not necesarry to go to temple with ” pancha-katcham” and panniru thiruman if they are “Grahasthal’ ?
Is it not necesarry to wear ” Veishti” and have “uththreeyam” if they are bachelors besides wearing thiruman ?
Is it not their “swaroopam” to have “madisar” if the ladies are married?
Is it correct to go to temples, asramams, wedding (thirumangalya dharanam time) etc with “Sudithar” ” nighty” etc dresses for the married ladies?
Will their inner-voice not tell them to bring into “anushtanam” what they learnt?
Why the loukikas should not take vasthrams and “thiruman petti” along with other dresses , phaste brush mirror etc etc when they come to Chennai or other places on official duty, if they have a mind to offer pranams to Acharyan who is in sancharam there?
When these loukikas observe certain norms, silence, principles during the official meetings etc, why they should not give such of these codes in to effect when they attend and receive ” Theertham ” ” SAtari ” ” prasadam ” etc in temples, Asramams etc
Adiyen is pained to see the behaviour of some of our sampradaya asthikas, when adiyen attends marriage functions, temple uthsavams, sancharams of our matathipathis etc. There is neither conduct nor code( adiyen expressing all these in the writings, books etc )
Dear Srivaishnavas
The future of our “Sri Desika Sampradayam” is in your hands. It is your duty to hand them over fully to your next generation without pollution
